Boone River Clean Up

Time:   7:30 am to 1:00 pm
Location:     Briggs Woods Park at Shelter 1 - located next to the shower house in the campground
What to bring:  Sunscreen, water, bug spray, shovel, gloves, hat, sunglasses, and canoes.

  • Meet at Shelter 1 located at Briggs Woods Park for registration  
  • Park in the canoe access parking lot located next to the campground 
  • We will be cleaning 5.5 miles from Bever Bridge to Tunnel Mill Canoe Access.
  • We will have a bus shuttle people from Brigg's Woods to Bever Bridge and back from Tunnel Mill.
  • Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt
  • A limited number of canoes are available on a first come first serve basis. 
  • Feel free to bring your own canoe
  • Children under 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult
  • Parents must sign a waiver and medical information form for all youth under 18
  • All volunteers must abide by IA DNR boating laws. No alcohol consumption is allowed
  • We hope to be on the river by around 8:30 am

  • If you want to clean the Boone River with your own canoe separately from the organized Boone River Clean Up group. You may canoe from Riverside Park in Webster City to Brigg's Woods Park on Saturday August 1st 2020 and leave your trash picked up in the river at the Brigg's Woods Park canoe access.
