Astronomy 101 & Stargazing Night Hike

Little Wall Lake Park, Hamilton County

Saturday, July 27, 2019

Explore the universe as we discover the basics of  Astronomy and observe stars, constellations, planets, moon craters, and orbiting satellites. Bring your curiosity and binoculars to the picnic shelter so we can observe the night sky together.  We will have a presentation in the shelter and then go on a short night hike to observe the night sky. There will be free sky maps for people to take. If you bring a flashlight we will put a red cover on it before our hike starts. This program is for all ages of people that are curious about observing the night sky in Iowa. If you have questions contact our naturalist at hccblaird@wmtel.net or call John at the office at 515-832-9570.
