The Cedar Valley Nature Trail is a 51 mile linear park created from an abandoned railroad between Evansdale and Hiawatha. The trail is paved from Hiawatha to just south of Center Point, and from just outside of LaPorte City to Waterloo. The rest of the trail is crushed limestone.

Stop in Center Point to visit the historical Center Point Depot and Historical Museum. Operated by the Center Point Historical Society it provides the history of the railroad in the area.

Winter Activities Winter Activities at Cedar Valley Nature Trail
  In the winter months the trail can be used for snowshoeing, and on designated unpaved areas, snowmobiling.
