Women in the Woods with Wine - What's the Buzz - Cancelled

Jester Park, Polk County

Tuesday, May 19, 2020

Have you ever heard of Mead and wondered what it is? Mead (wine made from honey) as well as 1/3 of our global food supply depends on pollinators. Enjoy an evening learning about our native pollinators and why they are so important. We’ll learn how pollination works, who the pollinators are and threats they face. We’ll also discuss actions you can take to help pollinators in your own yard. This program is for women ages 21+ who are interested in getting outside. Become more comfortable and knowledgeable about the natural world, as you unwind and have fun with a class of mead from an Iowa Meadery.
