Join a Polk County Conservation Naturalist to learn the basics of recreational kayaks. Kayaking is a popular and growing sport. It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise at the same time. We’ll shake off the winter blues with plenty of paddling time in the pool. A short discussion about equipment and technique will take place before hitting the water. Locker rooms are available for changing into clothes that can get wet. Fee : $25, Pre- registration is required. Deadline to register is Jan. 24. Life jackets, paddles, and kayaks provided. Minimum age of 12 to participate.
