Natural Connections

Arrowhead Park, Pottawattamie County

Saturday, October 13, 2018

Time spent outdoors and in the community is shown to improve the health, well-being, & quality of life for all people. Families looking to increase their knowledge & discover new ways to get outdoors are invited to join us for Natural Connections on Saturday, October 13th from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Arrowhead Park.

Natural Connections is a new programming series aimed at providing access and the beginning tools needed for families to get outdoors. Attendees will enjoy guided activities & a story walk designed to make getting outdoors easy & fun. During this program we will also be distributing outdoor gear to interested families that will make heading outdoors easier as cooler temperatures approach.

Pre-registration for this event is required, please register online in minutes and let us know you are planning to attend. For more information please call 712-545-3283 or email Rene Stroud, Naturalist at rene.stroud@pottcounty-ia.gov.

Following the program attendees are invited to meet at Breezy Lodge to take part in our annual Chili Fest which features pumpkin painting, games, trick or treating, a hayrack ride, & of course ... Chili! No pre-registration is needed to attend chili fest.

Both events are free with paid park admission, and you only pay admission once to attend both programs.
