Students entering 1st & 2nd Grade are invited to explore
nature during Wild Ones at Hitchcock Nature Center June 15th - 17th. Campers
will walk on the wild side during this immersive camp experience packed full of
fort building, hiking, outdoor games, nature crafts, & more.
Wild Ones camp is designed for unaccompanied campers
entering 1st & 2nd grade (students age 6 to 7). The camp will be held at
Hitchcock Nature Center in Honey Creek, IA & will be from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. June 15th through 17th. The cost for this three-day camp is $75.00 per
camper & includes park admission, snack, & camp materials. Online pre-registration is required as space is limited.
Campers will need to provide a sack lunch for each day of
camp. We also request campers bring a refillable water bottle, sunblock &
insect repellent also recommended are a hat, sunglasses, long pants &
closed-toe shoes.
Due to COVID-19 the format of this program may be adjusted.

grades only. No additional students or parents please.

Due to the material needs of each camp, we observe the
following cancellation policy.

13 to 8 Days Notice - 25% Refund

7 Days or Less Notice - 0% Refund

*Camps with less than 10 registered campers may be canceled
at the discretion of Pottawattamie Conservation. Camps canceled by
Pottawattamie Conservation will be refunded 100%.
About 2021 Summer Nature Camps
Join us for a summer of fun during Pottawattamie Conservation's 2021 Summer Nature Camps! Camps are offered for youth Pre-K through 9th Grade with a focus on fostering an understanding & appreciation of Iowa's unique environment. Campers will experience traditional summer camp games, outdoor adventures, & skill-building activities during these immersive, hands-on camps.
