World Migratory Bird Day Hike

Crooked Bend, Story County

Saturday, May 8, 2021

Join our Outreach Coordinator on a short walk to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day. This property sports a newly-created trail and views of the South Skunk River, and could be a hot spot for migrating warblers. We’ll take it slow and chat about what birds mean to us. This walk is free, but registration is required by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6. Wear long pants and sturdy, closed toe shoes. Bring binoculars if you have them (we’ll have a couple extra pairs). Face coverings will be required if unable to physically distance.

Our top priority has been and will continue to be the health and well-being of the public and the staff. In response to the ongoing development of COVID-19, Story County Conservation programs will adhere to social distancing, smaller group size, increased sanitation and face coverings mandatory when social distancing is not possible or while indoors. Pre-registration will be required when group size needs to be limited due to the facility or location.
