Interested in learning more about prescribed prairie burns and their significance? Then you won’t want to miss this SIZZLING program! Witness the rebirth of a prairie at Tedesco Environmental Learning Corridor by joining us for a live prairie burn. Story County Conservation staff will be on-site conducting the burn and naturalists will be present to provide information and answer questions. Event will take place outdoors and on paved trails.

This burn will take place 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., although the exact day is weather-dependent. Possible dates range from April 12 through May 4 and it will take place on a Monday through Thursday evening. We will give notice one to two days in advance.

This event is free but registration is required. Sign up with an email address you check daily. We will send an email notification one to two days in advance once a date is selected. It will be weather dependent, but you will be notified.
