Goldfinch Cabin offers guests a more rustic way to connect to the natural world. It provides some of the modern conveniences of home in a 12′ x 16′ space – heat, air and sleeping arrangements for five (5).
Beds include two sets of bunks. One set has a full size on bottom and twin on top. The other set is a twin/twin.
The camping cabin has a small fridge, microwave, table and chairs.
A shower and restroom facility is provided near the shelter house (closed seasonally approx. mid-October to mid-April). Waterless toilets are available during colder months.
All bedding (sheets, blankets and pillows), towels, washcloths, personal hygiene items, food and cooking items must be provided by the persons renting the cabin.
One fire pit and picnic table is provided outside the cabin.
This cabin was built with the family in mind. Parties over five (5) should be held at one of the shelters on property. Two cars are allowed to park at each cabin. Parking on the grass or along the road is prohibited. Please use designated parking areas for additional cars.

Starting January 1st, 2024:
- Weekends must be booked together (Friday, Saturday, Sunday are group dates)
- Group dates must ALL be added to the cart, or you will not be able to check out.
- Federally recognized holidays must be booked with all of the designated group dates.
AGREEMENT ACCEPTED AT TIME OF BOOKING contains renter responsibilities, cancellation and refund restrictions, and park conduct information. Renter will be responsible for damages beyond normal wear. Renter must be at least 21 years of age and present at the facility for entire reservation period.
A damage deposit of $150.00 is due two weeks prior to your stay. If you are making a reservation less than two weeks from now, please send your deposit immediately. The deposit MUST be cash or check. The deposit must be dropped off or mailed into the main office at 1339 HWY 63 Bloomfield, IA 52537. The deposit will be returned if you cancel the reservation or if the cabin and grounds are vacated in good, clean condition and equipment/furnishings not lost or damaged. All or part of the deposit may be retained against cleanup costs, damage, or loss incurred. If the deposit amount does not cover such costs, the renter is held responsible for additional payment.
