Summary:

Will assist the RCCB Executive Director as they oversee the day-to-day activities of a multi-faceted conservation program that includes park management, outdoor recreation, natural resources management, environmental education, land/water management, and wildlife/fishery programs.  

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Timely, reliable and consistent physical attendance is an essential function of this position.

·        Operate and maintain trucks, tractors, and other light equipment.

·        Utilize hand and power tools.

·        Assist in, or present, public programs.

·        Work closely with others in management of Ringgold County parks and preserves.

·        Night, weekend and holiday hours may be possible.  

Preferred Minimum Qualifications :

·        Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision.

·        Possess the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.  

Physical Demands:

·        Standing for long periods of time

·        Walking, carrying equipment while walking

·        Sitting for long periods of time

·        Stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling –

·        Weight lifted/Force exerted – Occasionally requires lifting objects at a minimum of 50 pounds.

·        Works majority of the time in outdoor weather conditions under common weather situations including heat, cold, and inclement weather

  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

·        Valid Iowa driver’s license
