Description
This position will run approximately May through
August and will offer opportunities to actively participate in outdoor
education, interpretation, visitor services, maintaining pollinator gardens, and
natural resource management. Some night and weekend hours will be required. The
position is 40 hours per week.
Duties: Develop and
present educational programs, assist with summer camps, assist with design and
construction of nature center displays, maintain pollinator gardens at Lake
Iowa Park, assist with educational animal care (reptiles, amphibians, insects),
write articles for the county conservation newsletter, assist with resource
management, staff the Lake Iowa Nature Center on weekends and lead weekend
environmental education programs, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Either be enrolled in or have a degree in natural resources, environmental education, interpretation, parks and recreation, conservation, landscaping, environmental studies, or a related field. The applicant must also possess a valid driver’s license
