Description
Job responsibilities are but not limited to assisting the Lyon County Naturalist prepare for camps and programs, coordinating, creating displays and visual aids, updating multiple medias, delivering talks and presentations. Assist groups in fishing, canoeing, and other outdoor recreation opportunities. Adhere to agency policy in the performance of job related duties.
Required Skills: work with children ages 3-11 years old, interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner, ability to withstand physical labor under all types of conditions.
Naturalist
Intern will work no more than 40 hours per week (non-routine
including some weekends, evenings and holidays)
Perform the same job responsibilities as those of "Gate Attendant: when not assisting naturalist or performing education programs.

Qualifications
Minimum of 16 years of age with a valid driver's license and able to pass a background check. First aid and CPR training is a plus. High school or college level course work in the Natural Resources or Child Development field is a plus.
