Description
Seasonal Nature Center Naturalist/Custodian. This is a 15 week position starting approximately in Mid-May.  The person selected for this position will be based at the Mississippi River Eco Tourism Center, Rock Creek Marina and Campground, Camanche, Iowa.  The person hired for these positions will work under supervision of the Park Officer, Interpretive Naturalist and Concessions Manager.  The person hired for this position will gain knowledge and experience in nature center and park maintenance, park planning and day to day park operations. They will also lead weekly nature presentations and to act as a docent for the nature center. Work Schedule:  40/hrs per week, Wednesday - Sunday.  Expect to work all holidays and weekends, exceptions can be made occasionally.   Duties:  The person(s) hired may be asked to perform, but not limited to the following duties: General custodial maintenance to the MRETC and the surrounding grounds, vehicles, equipment, buildings and rental boats as required.  Must be able to do some climbing and lifting. Applicant must be comfortable working with reptiles, as tank cleaning will be required. Work in all weather conditions.  Qualifications:  Must be 18.  Must have valid driver’s license. Position will remain open April 6th, 2018 or until filled.
