1. Assists with the development, implementation and management of volunteer programs and events in county parks and trails.

    a. Provides support to Volunteer Coordinators at volunteer events, projects and programs. Includes weekends, evenings, and large quarterly events.

    b. Oversees volunteer projects as determined by the Coordinators.

    c. Provides feedback and assistance in all projects, events, and programs, both current and future.

    d. Aides in preparation and cleanup of events.

    e. Assists in duties related to onboarding new volunteers and subsequent trainings.

2. Assists in development of promotional literature and communications.

    a. Creates marketing pieces for volunteer recruitment, retention, events, and programs.

    b. Submits and manages volunteer events through the appropriate community resources and online calendars in a timely manner.

    c. Assists with monthly and quarterly communications.

3. Assists in maintaining volunteer databases and applicable data entry. Develops a program with a special emphasis on recruiting volunteers to assist in database management.

4. Assists on projects as assigned by the Natural Resources Manager and/or Volunteer Coordinators.

5. Performs related duties as may be required.

Qualifications
• Associates degree from accredited college or university in environmental science, natural resources, communications, or public relations/marketing.
• One year experience supervising volunteers preferred.
