Description
The Audubon County Conservation Board is seeking applicants for a summer seasonal Conservation Aide Intern to assist park staff during the summer camping season. Job duties will include but not limited to: cleaning restrooms, garbage collection and litter pick up, mowing and trimming, painting and staining, tree trimming and care, and assisting with educational programming. This position is under the immediate supervision of the Conservation Board Director and the Operations Supervisor. Ability to use heavy equipment, hand and power tools, and sufficient stamina to work in adverse weather conditions. Perform strenuous physical tasks including lifting and bending. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. The ability to follow written and oral instructions, and to interact with the public to promote good will.
Qualifications
Someone working towards a degree in a natural resource field, parks and recreation, biology. Must be 18 years of age and posses a valid Iowa driver's license. Must pass a physical exam and drug test prior to employment.
