Description
Description
This is a part time, seasonal position under the general supervision of
the Naturalist. The intern will assist and prepare environmental education
programs. Other duties include summer
nature camps, some maintenance, exhibit work, and promotion for programs. Must
be willing to work some nights and weekends. Position can start as early as May
and end in August, start and end dates are flexible.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Assist with the development, organization, and presentation of
environmental education programs for the general public, civic and conservation
groups, youth groups and schools in Jefferson County.
Plan, assist, and lead activities for summer day camps for youth.
Care and maintenance of materials and equipment used for programs.
Perform other duties as directed by the naturalist or executive
director.

Qualifications
Prefer working toward a degree in Environmental Education,
interpretation, natural resources, education or recreation. Valid driver’s
license required. Ability to work outside in a variety of weather and terrain.
Pay
$10 per
hour; no benefits, no housing available.
