Park Attendant

Part-time position at Lake Pahoja Recreation Area under general supervision of Operations Supervisor. Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks for assigned areas of the county.  Responsibilities and duties to include, but not limited to the following: Operates and maintains equipment of the County Conservation Board, repairs of buildings and playground equipment, functions on-call as assigned such as on weekends, nights, and holidays.  Weekend work and flexible hours will be required during primary camping season.  Attendant will reside free, at in the park housing. 

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required, plus college level course work in the Natural Resources field.  An equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to operate manual tools and equipment; ability to perform manual labor and to work outside under all types of weather conditions; ability to establish and maintain good relations; ability to follow oral and written instructions; a valid state of Iowa Driver’s License required.  FREE IN PARK HOUSING PROVIDED

SHIFT: Non-standard; weekend and holiday work required. May through September; will work with school ending and start dates.
