Description
Permanent full time
position under the general supervision of the Executive Director. Plan, develop and present Environmental Education programs for
schools, youth groups, nature camps, city Summer Rec programs, adult groups and the general public. Instruction and belay of groups on the Langwood High Ropes Challenge Course. Design and develop displays, exhibits and newsletters. Supervises seasonal
employees.
Must possess a valid drivers license and be able to obtain a class D-3 chauffeur's license. This job requires strenuous physical work involving climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting 50 lbs. occasionally and working outside in various weather conditions. Must be able to handle strenuous physical activities, including facilitation on the Langwood Challenge Course. Will be required to work some nights and weekends.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited 2 or 4 year college or university with major coursework in environmental education, natural resources or ecology, outdoor recreation or a related natural science field.
