Description
Organizes, develops,
coordinates and represents quality environmental educational programs to the
residents of Muscatine
County and visitors. Researches, develops, prepares and presents
programs, speeches and special events to various groups. Recruits, interviews and trains volunteers
for programs and special events. Conducts
research, designs and develops written educational materials and displays concerning
conservation; assists with construction of displays. Researches and writes articles for a
conservation newsletter; assists with design and layout; assist with writing
promotional brochures, news releases and informational flyers. Assists in the care of animals at the Learning Center.
Performs park area and Learning Center maintenance duties.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Science degree in the natural sciences from an accredited four-year college or university and one year of experience in professional conservation, education, or natural science work involving coordination and dissemination of informat
