Fishing at Glissman Conservation Area

Glissman Conservation Area has a 7.5 acre pond that is home to bluegill, red-eared sunfish, crappie, largemouth bass, channel catfish and others. 

A fishing license is required for all anglers ages 16 and above, except during the annual Free Fishing Days, which is the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday in June.

• From Adel, go west on County Road F60 (Old Hwy 6) approximately 3 miles to Panther Creek Road
• Turn south on Panther Creek Rd and proceed approx. 1 mile to a T-intersection.
• Turn left (east) to stay on Panther Creek Rd. Go east for approx. ¼ mile, then turn back to the right (south).
• The entrance to the area is on the right (west) side of the road, just before the road bends to the east.

Hours

Glissman Conservation Area is open 30 minutes before sunrise until 10:00pm daily.
Parking is near the locked gate. Visitors to the park and pond must hike from that point.
