FALL COLORS at Discovery Park

Discovery Park is an excellent place to view fall colors. There is a combination of prairie, wetlands, ponds, and woodlands that offer a great variety of colors and textures. Hike the paved walking trail that winds past it all. In addition the Muscatine Arboretum features an excellent diversity of native trees.

Features

The Environmental Learning Center is a top notch nature center featuring natural history exhibit space. There are reservable picnic shelters, 1.5-miles of paved hiking/biking trail and another 2-miles of mowed trail. The area also has an outdoor raptor enclosure, bird viewing blind, ponds for fishing, an accessible fishing dock, restrooms, as well as an old cemetery and historic barn.

The Park is open year round, including holidays.

The Environmental Learning Center is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from Noon - 4:00 pm. The ELC is closed most holidays.

Discovery Park closes daily at 10:30 pm.
