A Wildlife Oasis

This 81-acre wildlife area has been described as a "geological and ecological museum" because of its rare prairie pothole and sedge meadow. A year-long survey at Engeldinger counted 314 species of plants, 19 species of mammals, 15 species of reptiles and amphibians, and 82 species of birds.

Locations

A small parking lot near the intersection of NE 118th Avenue and NE 120th Street offers access for wildlife viewing and hunting in the area.
