The presentation will speak to road politics of the time, road features, location, towns served, tourist amenities, motels, cafes, and gas stations past and present. Hank Zaletel is a retired transportation librarian/archivist at the Iowa Dept. of Transportation and the Institute of Transportation at Iowa State. He is a collector of historic images and paper ephemera of Story County and elsewhere and a past board member of the Ames History Museum and current volunteer.

FREE event. Doors open at 10:00AM for coffee/tea and chatting. Presentation runs from 10:30AM-11:30AM.
