Historic Visits at Dow House Historical Site

This is the historic home of Simeon E. Dow, founder of Dow City, which depicts the life of a prominent upper middle class citizen and his family in the early 1870's.  It provides an excellent view of the Boyer River Valley and surrounding farmlands.

The Dow House is located south off Highway 30, on the west edge of Dow City, Iowa

Features

This is the restored home of Simeon E. Dow and also showcases a carriage house.

Hours

The Dow House is open to the public the last weekend in May to Labor Day weekend, on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 - 5:00.
Arrangements for group tours can be made in advance by phoning the Crawford County Conservation Board at 712-263-2748 Monday thru Friday, 8:00 - 4:30.

Fees

Admission fees are $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under 14.
