Horseshoe Lake

One of the few remnant oxbows of the Missouri River in Harrison County, the Horseshoe Lake Wetland Area has 41 acres. Alteration of the Missouri River from the 1930's through the 1960's to create a more navigational channel drastically changed the floodplain.The Horseshoe Lake Wetland Area has intermittent water depending on rainfall. With both wetland habitat like cattails and woodland habitat, there is hunting for both waterfowl and upland game.



Location

Horseshoe Lake Wetland Area is located two miles west of Modale on 260th Street.
