Sunday, March 24, Noon to 3 p.m., Bender Pool - Cedar Rapids This quick course should whet your appetite for the upcoming open water season. We will cover kayak basics concerning safety, pfd’s, strokes, entering and exiting kayaks and much more, as you immerse yourself with information and some paddling experience in the pool. Course is designed for the beginning boater to gain some knowledge and confidence. Bring your own boat if you can, or let us know and we can provide boats. Pre-registration is through Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation. $10 per person and open to ages 10 and up. Additional dates for drop in sessions include: October 29; November 12 and 26; December 10; January 7 and 21; February 4 and 18 and March 3.
