The Redfield Dam area offers easy access to the Middle Raccoon River with a large gravel parking lot and paved boat ramp, both located below the low head dam.

The boat ramp is located at the southern edge of the 88 acre wildlife refuge. It is a very popular place to start a  leisurely float down a river that has great scenery and the opportunity to view wildlife including bald eagles, river otters, great blue herons, belted kingfishers and many others.

The Redfield Dam area  is 88 acres of wildlife refuge located both up and down river from the low head dam on the the Middle Raccoon River.

It is a very popular place for all types of fish lovers, from humans to bald eagles, river otters, great blue herons, belted kingfishers and many others!
