Early Summer is a great time of year to see Iowa’s remnant prairie as it enters the warm season. Join Jackson County Conservation Naturalist Tony Vorwald and Ray Hamilton to learn about the prairies spring flowers and ecology. Hamilton’s Prairie has been managed as a biological preserve with a mixture of remnant and reconstructed high-quality prairie. Meet us by Ray’s buildings off 288th Ave Maquoketa Iowa right across the street from Codfish Hollow Barnstormers. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes!
