French Grove Wildlife Area

This timber area consisting of 27.87 acres was purchased by Marshall County Conservation in 1968.  An ideal place for a picnic lunch and a hike in the woods, French Grove Wildlife Area has picnic tables, a restroom, and trails.  Many tree species can be found at this site including Walnuts, Hickory, Maple, Oak, Elm, Ash, and Cottonwoods.  Additionally the Minerva Creek meanders through this wooded wildlife area.  Visitors will also find an old cave like cellar on site which once housed bee hives of the original owners of the area.
