Pottawattamie Conservation is taking extra steps to maintain safety for our visitors including increased cleaning of public restrooms, indoor facilities, & cabins, providing hand sanitizer in high use areas for our visitors, & adjusting our public programming offerings.

We remind our visitors that COVID-19 is present in our communities & ask that all park visitors please maintain appropriate social distancing at all times, wash hands frequently, & recommend wearing a mask when visiting indoor spaces at your county parks. Please limit your groups to 10 or fewer individuals when visiting indoor spaces & please obey all posted signage in your county parks.

Thank you for understanding.

Botna Bend Park is a favorite for campers who enjoy a small town atmosphere. Park visitors will love this quiet, beautiful park that is located next to the Nishnabotna River. While at Botna Bend, anglers commonly catch flathead catfish and carp. Another huge draw to Botna Bend is the bison and elk herd that resides in the park's pasture areas.
