Rock Creek Timber


This is a 152 acre wildlife management area.  A hiking trail leads through a prairie restoration and hardwood timber area to a wetland on the north side of the property.  Public hunting is allowed.  This area was made possible through a Wildlife Habitat Stamp grant, Pheasants Forever, REAP funding and Ducks Unlimited.

Location

Rock Creek Timber is 6 miles NW of Tipton, IA.  Drive Hwy 38 north to 190th, then west on 190th to King Road, then north to Jackson Rd.  Go west 2.5 miles on Jackson Road to the property.
