Frog & Toad Survey

May 29th, 7:30pm at Benton County Nature Center (5718 20th Ave Drive, Vinton, IA)

Do you love frogs? Join us for a short presentation about Iowa frog & toad species and learn to identify them by call. Then, join our Naturalist to survey frog & toads for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Volunteer Wildlife Monitoring Program! Participants can ride with the naturalist or follow us in their own vehicle as we visit wetlands around the county to survey frog and toads. Visit all the sites or just a few.  If you plan to ride with the naturalist, approximant finish time will be 11:30PM. Seats are limited. First come, first serve. Bug spray and head lamps with red light are recommended. 

This program requires quiet participation during the survey. Weather must be at least 50F and low wind. Registration is required.
