Fossil Fun

Sept. 25, 10am at Wildcat Bluff Recreation Area; Geared for 1st - 12th Grade

Take a trip back in time, nearly 400 million years ago, to the Devonian period, when the area we now call Wildcat Bluff was covered by a warm, shallow sea teeming with ancient life. In this hands-on fossil program, students will explore the bluff’s unique geology, learn about local Devonian fossils, and get the chance to search for real fossil specimens in the field. This program combines science, history, and a sense of wonder for the prehistoric world beneath our feet.

Participants MUST REGISTER in advance at mycountyparks.com. Participants do not have to be in a homeschool group to participate.
