Event Summary

Join us for our first ever embroidered felt ornament workshop, inspired by Jan Brett's classic book The Mitten! 

Attendees will be using Aimee Ray's pattern "Felt Mitten and Friends" to create a felt mitten and choose one woodland animal (bear, fox, badger, hedgehog, owl, snowshoe hare, mole, or mouse) to take home. Whether you use them to act out story time or to decorate the Christmas tree, this craft is sure to bring you joy this holiday season! No prior knowledge of sewing or embroidery is needed. All supplies are provided! 

Cost: $10 dollars. This covers all craft costs. 

Program Policies: All registrations must be done online and no walk-ins will be accepted. If you need assistance in registering for programs online, please call the nature center 319-277-2187, and we will help you. 

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in the case of a documented medical emergency or funeral for programs more than $10. If program cost is under $10, a program voucher will be offered for a future program. If a program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, then a similar program will be offered in its place.
