Nestling Naturalists: Amphibians

Event Summary

Nestling Naturalists is an interactive program designed to teach children (ages 0-4+) about nature through stories and related activities.

Frogs, toads, and salamanders... oh my! This April, we will be learning all about amphibians. Learn about these double-life critters through a themed storytime, create your own "bog baby" to take home, and end your trip on an optional, self-guided hike to hear the sounds of Hartman's toad city! Books selected include:

  • The Bog Baby by Jeanne Willis and Gwen Millward
  • A Tadpole Grows Up by Melvin and Gilda Berger
  • The Wide-Mouthed Frog by Keith Faulkner
  • A Frog in the Bog by Karma Wilson and Joan Rankin
  • The Salamander Room by Anne Mazer

Registration costs $10 per family.

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in the case of a documented medical emergency or funeral for programs more than $10. If program cost is under $10, a program voucher will be offered for a future program.
