Directions: Head north on HWY 144 from Perry, Iowa for about 2 miles. Turn east on to 330th street. In a quarter mile turn north onto Deer Ave and follow the road for 1.3 miles. On the left-hand side of the road you will see the Buffalo Grove property sign. There is a small gravel parking area directly off the road, big enough for about 2-3 vehicles.

Discover Buffalo Grove Wildlife Area in Perry

This Boone County Conservation wildlife area offers 127 acres of prairie and woodlands with Beaver creek passing through the park. It was acquired by the Boone County Conservation Board in 1998 and is located in the southwest edge of Boone County. Recreational opportunities include wildlife viewing, fishing, and public hunting.

Camping, swimming, off-roading, and fires are prohibited.

This property is open year-round from 5am- 10:30 pm.
