Night at the Nature Center - Reptiles

Event Summary

Come to Fontana Nature Center to see what is offered during the fall.  There will be opportunities to explore the inside displays, go for a self guided night hike, or talk around a fire.  A naturalist will be available to get out live animals, such as the ornate box turtle, tiger salamander, or American toad.  At 6:30 p.m. participants will have an opportunity to learn about native Iowa snakes and turtles.  There will be artwork on display from the Iowa Reptile Art Contest.   This is a come-and-go style event, so show up any time between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. with the presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m.
