Hike the Candy Cane Forest

Event Summary

A new holiday activity for families is being introduced by the naturalists of Buena Vista County Conservation. The naturalists of Buena Vista County invite you to hike the Candy Cane Forest. Chose one of two hikes; short & easy or longer & challenging. Follow the candy canes along the trail to find all the different Iowa owls. Then head back to office for refreshments, prizes, and meet Luna the education barred owl.

Hike the Candy Cane Forest is a come and go event between 1:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 20th at Buena Vista County Conservation Park.

Meet at the Conservation Office, 377 440th St Peterson, IA 51047. This event is free of charge and registration is not required. This event can be cancelled due to inclement weather.
