Snowshoe the Glacial Trail Scenic Byway


Event Summary

Interested in learning how to snowshoe? Perhaps you just enjoy the opportunity to get outside and snowshoe around. The Buena Vista County Naturalists have you covered. On select Fridays in January & February snowshoes will be available for free to use around Buena Vista County Conservation Park and explore the Glacial Trail Scenic Byway.

The third come & go snowshoe event will be held on Friday, February 6th from 10:00- 3:00 PM. Naturalist Katie or Naturalist Lindsey will be on staff to check out snowshoes and help you get started. This event is free of charge & no reservations are required. Pairs of snowshoes are limited and will be checked out on a first come, first serve basis.

Meet at the Conservation Office at Buena Vista County Conservation Park. 377 440th St, Peterson, IA 51047. This event can be cancelled due to inclement weather.
