Heery Woods State Park - South Side

Overview

Heery Woods Lodge is a historic limestone/masonry structure available for rent.

It has 6 solid walnut tables with benches and five serving tables. You will enjoy the modern features of electricity and a basic kitchen along with the working wood fireplace.

A small shelter behind offers a great view of the river below and grills for your get-together.

Reservations can be made online for May 1 through October 15. If you are interested in renting the lodge before or after those dates, please call the office at 319-346-6551 to discuss availability of water and restrooms in the off season.

The meeting room at the Allan and Fayette Meyer Nature Center is also available for reservations online and year-round.

All Butler CCB parks are open 6:00 am to 10:30 pm year round

This lodge is available by reservation only.

Closed

Water will be turned off to the lodge building and the restrooms during the off-season - online reservations are accepted for dates between May 1 and October 15.

Meeting Room is available year-round for reservations.

Fees

2025 fees are

LODGE - $100 per day on Weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and $55 per day on Weekdays (Monday through Thursday).

MEETING ROOM - $150 per day on Weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and $100 per day on Weekdays (Monday through Thursday).

School and community groups may use these facilities free of charge with an educational program.
