Heery Woods State Park - South Side

Overview

The south side of Heery Woods State Park has 1.75 miles of woodland trails to explore on the south side of the river. Trails will take you along the river bluff and through the forest on mowed grass and lime-chipped trails. Stop in the nature center to pick up a map to guide you through the trails, and take some time to browse through the exhibits. Educational signs are posted throughout the trail system for you to learn more about the flora and fauna found in Butler County.

Be sure to keep an eye out for woodland animals such as woodpeckers, songbirds, turkey, deer, squirrel and more.

Pets must be leashed at all times in this (and all other county) park.
