Event Summary

Put on your apron and head to the woods! Our Outdoor Cooking Camp invites 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders to trade the kitchen stove for the campfire.

 

This hands-on experience teaches young chefs the basics of outdoor food prep, fire safety, and the delicious rewards of cooking in the great outdoors.

What’s on the Menu:

Fire-Building 101: Before we cook, we have to build the "stove." Campers will learn how to safely gather tinder and kindling to build a perfect cooking fire. We’ll practice the "teepee" and "log cabin" methods!

Cast Iron & Coal Creations: Discover the wonders of the Dutch oven. Campers will learn how heat works in the wild.
