Great Western Park is located on the southwestern edge of Manning, IA and is managed by the Carroll County Conservation Board. The original lake was recently restored and the whole park is continually being developed. The park features a shelter house, modern restrooms, playground, fishing, walking trails, shooting range, and a campground. The lake is 12 acres and 14 feet deep, equipped with a boat ramp.

The campground is situated on top of a hill with a beautiful view of Manning and the Great Western Lake. There are a total of 8 electric camping sites available for RV's, tent camping is also available. The campground is self-registration, with registration envelopes located at the kiosk with a drop box. You are required to register the day you arrive and have your registration posted at your campsite. A dump station is located near the restrooms.

$14.00 per night  Electric & Water sites (30 AMP)

$10.00 per night Tent camping

The shelter house at Great Western Park is available to rent year round as has a furnace and A/C unit. The shelter hold approximately 75 people and includes a kitchenette area equipped with a stove, microwave, and refrigerator. Great Western Park Shelter House Fees

April through October $60.00 per day

November through March $70.00 per day

With a $50.00 refundable damage deposit

Non-profit rates are available

The shooting range at Great Western Park is available year round, CLOSED during pheasant season.

The shelter house and walking trail are available year round.

The campground is open mid-April through mid-October, weather permitting.
