Lime Creek Nature Center & Conservation Area

Overview

Two picnic areas can be found on the Lime Creek Conservation Area.  One is just outside of the nature center and the other is in an open air shelter just north of the parking lot.  Picnic areas are not reservable but are on a first come first serve basis.

Location

Located off US Highway 65 just north of Mason City (3501 Lime Creek Road).

Features

Visitors will enjoy an impressive variety of mounted animals on display in the center, along with several aquarium displays of reptiles and amphibians.  A complete exhibit renovation in 2019 provides numerous natural resource displays and "hands-on" learning opportunities for all ages.

Hours

Park Hours are from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm every day of the week

Nature Center Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday

Fees

There is no charge to enter the nature center.
