Picnicking at Lime Creek Nature Center & Conservation Area
Two picnic areas can be found on the Lime Creek Conservation Area. One is just outside of the nature center and the other is in an open air shelter just north of the parking lot. Picnic areas are not reservable but are on a first come first serve basis.
Locations
Located off US Highway 65 just north of Mason City (3501 Lime Creek Road).
Features
The nature center houses displays, live and mounted animals, a natural resource library, and a gift shop.
Hours
Park Hours are from 6:00 am to 10:30 pmNature Center Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (5:00 pm summer hours) and Sunday 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (5:00 pm summer hours)
Fees
There is no charge to enter the nature center.
