Are you looking for an excuse to get out of the house, meet new friends and enjoy a meal while you learn about our area? Join us the 3rd Thursday of each month, March through November, for O.W.L.S., Older Wiser Livelier Souls. The 2026 O.W.L.S. season will begin on Thursday, March 19th.
This year’s theme will be “OWLS Requests”. March’s destination will be a visit to Effigy Mounds National Monument for a program on early pottery. Effigy Mounds has a new winter series called the Golden Eagle Club and the topic March 19 will be “Woodland & Oneota Pottery.”
Please meet at Osborne Park at 9:00 to carpool to our destination. This season O.W.L.S. programs will include visits to places like the Dubuque Arboretum, the Maiden Voyage, Bixby, Seed Savers Exchange and more.
Reservations are required. Reserve your spot today by calling (563) 245-1516 or visit the Osborne Nature Center. Osborne Nature Center is located on HWY 13 five miles south of Elkader.
