Race Details:

Clayton County Conservation invites you to the 8th Annual Pony Hollow Trail 5k on October 24, 2026. The 5k will be a simple out and back on the PHT for runners or walkers.  

Race swag are only guaranteed to all those that pre-register before October 12th. No extras will be ordered. All online registrations close at 1 pm on October 23rd. Mailed in registrations must also be received by Oct. 23rd. 

5k: $25 thru Oct. 23, $30 race day 

Packet pickup will be from 7:30-8:45am on race day at the Floral Hall shelter house located in the Elkader City Park. There is also parking and bathrooms located in this area for your convenience.    

Race will start promptly at 9 AM near the south trailhead. No parking will be allowed at the start/finish on High Street. Please use the city park and pool parking lot.  

The funds raised from this race will be used for future trail expansion efforts to join the two Pony Hollow trail heads into a continuous loop as well as maintenance of the trail. Part of the funds have been secured through private donations and grant dollars; Wellmark Large Match Grant, Upper Mississippi Gaming Grant, TAP, Enhance Iowa, and Black Hills Energy.
