Autumn Festival, Leaf Peeping Tours, Kids Craft Activities

Event Summary

Come celebrate Autumn as our trees transition from green to red, brown, purple, orange, and yellow. We will discuss what phenomenon has triggered Iowa's trees to make this color change. After a short talk we will depart on our leaf peeping tour of Brigg's Woods Park on the people mover. Plan on people mover tours departing from the beach lot at approximately 4:00, 4:30, and 5:00 pm. The leaf peeping tours will end promptly at 5:30 pm but we will have other activities going until 6 pm at the office area. We will have a leaf rubbing activity, pumpkin coloring sheets, and crafts for the kids inside the office. Before you head home enjoy cooking a hot dog or making a smore over the campfire at the Outback Area next to the office.
