Kamrar Wildlife Management Area


This 127 acre area consists of a reconstructed prairie and wetlands, and is ideal for hiking and bird watching.

Public Hunting is allowed.  Hunters will find pheasants, waterfowl, deer and coyote.  Please follow the 200 yard residence rule, which is shown in the map provided. 

Hunters are required to use, and can possess, only non-toxic shot while hunting migratory game birds, resident game birds, game animals or furbearers (excluding deer and wild turkey) on all land owned or managed by the Hamilton County Conservation Board.

Location

Located 1 1/2 miles northwest of Kamrar.  Go north out of Kamrar on Mechaelsen Ave which curves west into 265th St., then turn south on Lockwood Ave.
